Why This Matters Right Now
Most of us weren’t built to sit for eight hours, scroll for three more, and still feel grounded by the end of the day. Modern life has a way of disrupting the body’s natural flow of energy, and the result tends to show up as stiffness, exhaustion, anxiety, or a low-grade sense of being disconnected from yourself.
You may have already tried stretching, exercise, or simply pushing through it. But if the deeper sense of vitality never quite returns, the issue usually isn’t effort. It’s flow. According to Master Faye Li Yip, these aren’t isolated symptoms. They’re signs that your body’s internal energy pathways, your meridians, need to be restored.
This is where Five Animal Frolics Qigong comes in. Developed nearly 2,000 years ago by the physician Hua Tuo, it isn’t a sequence of pretty movements borrowed from nature. It’s a complete energy medicine system, one that uses movement, breath, and focused intention to work directly with your meridians, the pathways that carry Qi to every organ and tissue in your body.
Who This Free Event Is For
Anyone who already practices Qigong but has never fully understood why the movements work- People new to energy work who want a practical, non-mystical entry point into Qigong meridians and Qi cultivation
- Anyone dealing with chronic stiffness, low energy, nervous system overwhelm, or a sense of disconnection from their body
- Those curious about Traditional Chinese Medicine and how it maps onto real physical practice
- Practitioners of Tai Chi, yoga, or somatic movement looking to deepen their understanding of energy anatomy
What You’ll Discover
Why the legendary physician Hua Tuo designed each of the five animal movements to influence a distinct organ system and energetic pathway- How your meridians function as your body’s internal energy network, and why supporting them affects your physical, emotional, and energetic wellbeing
- Master Faye’s signature framework of Shape, Breath, and Intention, and how it makes any mindful movement practice more effective
- A first-hand experience of the Gentle Deer practice, a Water Element movement built to open the spine and calm the nervous system
- How to move from simply following instructions to actually understanding the mechanics behind your Qigong practice
Featured Technique: The Gentle Deer Practice
The Deer practice is the Water Element movement within the Five Animal Frolics. Through gentle twisting, reaching, and mindful breathing, it’s designed to open the spine, stimulate key meridians, replenish deep energy reserves, and calm an overtaxed nervous system. You’ll experience it live during the event, guided by Master Faye’s Shape, Breath, and Intention framework.

What Past Students Have Experienced
One student from North Carolina described the way Master Faye layers sound, breath, and gentle movement together as producing genuine internal shifts across mind, body, and spirit.
A student from Australia noted how clearly Master Faye broke down each movement and sound, and felt genuinely equipped to keep practicing on her own afterward.
Master Li Junfeng, a fellow Qigong master and former martial arts coach to actor Jet Li, has praised Faye’s ability to empower and encourage students toward their full potential.
During the event, Master Faye will also share details on her upcoming 7-week live video course, where you’ll learn all five animal practices in depth, explore how the meridians, organs, and Five Elements relate to one another, and build a lasting system for cultivating vibrant health and emotional resilience.
