Grief doesn’t wait for you to be ready. It shows up uninvited, and for a lot of people, it sits there for years with nowhere to go, because nobody around them can offer anything more than “I’m sorry for your loss” and a casserole.
Maybe you’ve never had a formal loss to grieve, but you’ve spent your whole life sensing things other people don’t. You get a feeling about someone before they walk in the room. You’ve had dreams that turned out to mean something. And you’ve never quite known whether that’s a real gift worth developing, or just your imagination working overtime.
Either way, this free event is built for you.
Why This Matters Right Now
Mavis Pittilla, the British medium many considered the finest teacher of her generation, died in 2022. Her wife and longtime working partner, Jean Else, is the person now holding her standards and her method. That won’t be true forever. This free session is a rare, direct line to a teaching lineage that isn’t getting any bigger, taught by someone who spent 24 years learning it firsthand.
Who This Is Good For
This session was built for people who:
- Have always felt intuitive but have never had a structured way to develop it responsibly
- Are exploring how to become a medium and want to know what real training actually involves, not just what social media makes it look like
- Are already doing mediumship or energy work and want an ethical framework and a trained community around them
- Are grieving and curious about evidential mediumship as a concept, without needing to be convinced of anything
- Are coaches, healers, or practitioners who want to understand this modality before referring clients to it, or adding it to their own practice
What You’ll Discover
- Why real evidential mediumship is a whole-person discipline, mind, body, and spirit together, not a party trick or a stage act
- Mavis Pittilla’s “Worlds Within Worlds” framework, her map of the stages a soul may move through after death
- How spirit communication can offer real comfort to the grieving, without vague promises or manufactured hope
- The ethical guardrails that keep this work honoring everyone involved, living and passed
- What a full year of training in this method, The Evidential Mediumship Academy, actually looks like week to week
The Pearl and the Oyster
Jean Else compares developing mediumship to how an oyster makes a pearl: slowly, under pressure, one layer at a time. Crack it open early looking for a shortcut and all you get is something small and unfinished. Give it time, and it comes to real brilliance. It’s a useful way to think about how to become a psychic medium the right way, instead of the fast way.
Meet Your Teachers
Jean Else, MA
Jean spent 24 years as the wife and working partner of Mavis Pittilla, one of the most respected mediums in the UK. A career educator before that, Jean brought her teaching background into their shared work, building the structured training programs that helped shape aspiring mediums for decades. Since Mavis’s death in 2022, Jean has taken on the role of Chief Executive and Director of the Mavis Pittilla-Authorized Teacher Training Program, carrying the method forward through a network of authorized teachers around the world. Suzanne Giesemann
Before she was a medium, Suzanne was a US Navy Commander who served as an aide to the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. Her path from senior military officer to spiritual teacher is documented in the film Messages of Hope. She’s since written 16 books, created The Awakened Way, and was named to Watkins Mind Body Spirit Magazine’s list of the 100 Most Spiritually Influential Living People. In 2024 she received Humanity’s Team’s Spiritual Leadership Award, an honor given only 11 times since 2006. Explore her work at suzannegiesemann.com.
What Students Say
One registered nurse who trained under Jean for two years credits that time with giving her the ethical grounding and public-speaking confidence that still shapes her mediumship work today. Dr. Gary Schwartz, a research professor who has studied mediums for over 15 years, has called Suzanne one of the most credible and gifted practitioners he’s encountered in that time.
What Comes Next
At the close of the free event, you’ll be introduced to The Evidential Mediumship Academy: Essentials Training, a 12-month program built on Mavis Pittilla’s full method, with weekly classes and small mentorship circles led by her authorized teachers. It’s not something you need to decide on today. It’s simply there, if this turns out to be your next step.
