You already know why you do it
You have done the reading. Maybe the therapy, the retreats, and the meditation cushion that has seen more of you than some of your friends. You can explain where your self-criticism came from with real precision.
And still, the old voice shows up right on schedule. A missed deadline, a tense family dinner, or a text left on read, and you are back in the same loop of self-doubt and reactivity.
Philip Carr-Gomm wants to close that gap. Understanding a pattern is one thing. Experiencing yourself differently is another. This free event focuses on the second one, because that is where change actually lives.
Why does this matter now?
The holiday season is only weeks away. For many of us, that means more family time, more pressure, and more chances for old wounds to show up in real time. Having an inner resource ready before that season starts is simply good planning.
There is a bigger shift happening too. More seekers are noticing that spiritual practice can quietly become a way to skip hard inner work. Philip names this directly and offers a grounded alternative: spirituality with psychological maturity, and psychology with spiritual depth.
Who is this good for?
You are on a spiritual path but still meet the same emotional triggers.- You want to learn how to quiet your inner critic without forcing fake positivity.
- You are overcoming self-doubt that shows up at work, in love, or in your creative life.
- You suspect you sometimes use practice to step around real feelings.
- You are a therapist, counselor, coach, healer, or spiritual director who wants tools to share with clients.
What you will explore
- Why psychology needs ancient wisdom to describe the full human experience, and why spirituality needs psychological grounding.
- How to spot spiritual bypassing, with real-life examples, in yourself and in the people you support.
- Philip’s view of how personality, childhood, and karma may shape your conditioning.
- How to build discernment you can bring into any guidance you offer others.
- A live, guided Perfect Inner Companion visualization.
Featured practice: The Perfect Inner Companion
This visualization draws on psychosynthesis and the roots of transpersonal therapy. You settle into breath and stillness, then revisit a past challenge. This time, a wise and compassionate presence sits beside you.
Think of it as an inner wisdom meditation with a job to do. It gives you a way to be kinder to yourself in hard moments, and a resource you can return to whenever you feel overwhelmed or alone.

What past students say
Past students describe feeling more embodied, clearer about their direction, and better able to handle daily stress. One longtime Druid student said Philip still offered fresh insight after years of study. Another described an unexpected feeling of coming home to herself.
Want to go deeper?
At the end of the hour, Philip will share how to join his upcoming 18-module live course. It weaves together Western psychology, neuroscience, and esoteric wisdom to help you map what blocks your growth and support change in others. His website notes it begins in November 2026. You are welcome to simply enjoy the free event, with no obligation.
