Fascia Healing for Pain Relief: A Free Somatic Event with Heidi Hadley
Your body has likely been sending you signals long before the pain arrived. This free online event explores why fascia healing may be the missing link to lasting relief, and offers a gentle taste of the somatic tools that can help you get there.
Presenter: Heidi Hadley, Certified Clinical Somatic Educator, TEDx Speaker, Founder of Total Somatics®
Format: Free live online video event, with a recording available to everyone who registers
Date & Time: Recording available now – September 2nd, 2026
Why does this matter now?
So much of daily life asks our bodies to absorb more than we notice. Stress, long hours at a desk, old injuries, and habitual posture all leave an imprint, and fascia, the connective tissue that wraps every muscle, organ, and joint, tends to hold onto that imprint quietly. By the time pain or stiffness shows up, your body has usually been asking for attention for a while. Heidi Hadley’s work reframes that pain not as a body failing you, but as a body communicating with you, which changes the entire approach to finding relief.
Who is this good for?
This event is a fit if you’ve tried stretching, massage, yoga, or physical therapy and found the relief temporary. It’s also worth your time if you’re newer to body awareness exercises and want an approachable, science-grounded entry point into somatic work, or if you’re a practitioner curious about clinical somatics as a complement to your existing practice. No experience with somatic therapy for chronic pain is required. You’ll be guided through everything live.
What you’ll explore in this free event
A guided seated somatic practice designed to help you sense what’s happening in your body and improve communication between brain and body- How fascia functions as one of the body’s key sensory systems, shaping movement, posture, and comfort
- Why chronic tension is often a learned pattern in the nervous system rather than purely a structural issue, and what that means for lasting relief
- Pandiculation, the body’s natural way of releasing tension, and why it works differently than stretching
- How noticing subtle signals early can help you interrupt tension patterns before they turn into pain
The featured method: fascia, pandiculation, and nervous system regulation
At the center of this event is a simple but often overlooked idea: your fascia and your nervous system are in constant conversation. When that conversation gets stuck, usually as a protective response to stress or old injury, muscles stay braced whether or not there’s still a threat present. Heidi’s approach uses gentle, active movement, not passive stretching, to help the brain relearn how to release that bracing. It’s a grounded, practical entry into fascia release techniques that doesn’t require any special equipment or prior movement experience, just a willingness to slow down and pay attention.

What past participants have shared
People who’ve worked with Heidi describe real, lived shifts: shoulder tension that had lingered for a decade since surgery finally easing, scar tissue softening, posture improving, and a growing sense of being back in control of their own body rather than at odds with it. Others point to how clearly she explains the neuroscience behind each practice before asking you to try it, which turns an abstract concept into something you can actually feel working.
